2nd- Colorful Dreams inspired by artist Paul Klee

Second grade students learned about the artist Paul Klee and were inspired by him in the creation of their Colorful Dream works of art.  Students developed a haiku poem that reflected their wish or dream for the world.  Students then wrote the poem in capital letters and filled in the shapes they could find among their letters.  One of the poems above reads:

Everyone is kind. (5 syllables)
They would be treated fairly. (7 syllables)
No one is unkind. (5 syllables)

*I can identify why artists use works of art to tell stories.
